Senior Middle Market Business Development Officer

Duties and Responsibilities

This role is responsible for sourcing and developing new commercial prospects and clients and selling bank services & products to them. Incumbents typically do not have credit authority.

-Serves a conduit for all product lines and matches client needs with appropriate products.

-Grows revenue as directed by senior management by successfully prospecting new business and making appropriate referrals.

-Develop sales strategy for clients and maintain & expand referral sources.

-Gather data to be used in the selling process.

-Participate in community organization and activities to build network of prospects.

-May assist prospective customers in completing loan applications and/or any necessary paperwork.

-Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

-Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field

-3 years sales or business development experience

Preferred Requirements

-2 years commercial sales or financial services experience

Minimum Knowledge and Skills

-Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of credit

-Demonstrates knowledge of bank products, services, and bank operations

-Demonstrates ability to be self-starter and show initiative

-Demonstrates excellent communication skills (verbal & written)

-Demonstrates proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint

-Demonstrates ability to manage time

-Ability to prospect and network at various levels within a company
