The Anderson Search Group has been engaged by a repeat client, a California-based bank with more than 80 branches and affiliate of an $80 billion+ financial institution with a 150-year history, to identify a Private Banking Relationship Manager for the San Francisco / Peninsula market.

This role will serve as the primary relationship manager for high-net-worth clients, responsible for generating, managing and expanding a portfolio of private banking relationships while delivering comprehensive banking and wealth solutions.

The Private Banker will work closely with internal specialists including investment advisors, trust officers, portfolio managers and credit partners to provide holistic solutions across lending, deposits, investments, insurance and estate planning referrals.

This is a growth-oriented role focused on expanding wallet share within existing relationships and developing new client relationships through internal referrals and external centers of influence.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the principal relationship manager for new and existing high-net-worth clients.

Generate, retain and expand client relationships across:

  • Private banking lending solutions
  • Deposit and liquidity management products
  • Investment and brokerage referrals
  • Trust and estate planning referrals
  • Insurance and wealth planning strategies

Develop new business through referrals from existing clients, internal partners and external centers of influence.

Perform credit analysis and participate in proper loan structuring for private banking lending opportunities.

Partner closely with internal teams including investment advisors, trust specialists, and credit partners to deliver comprehensive wealth management strategies.

Conduct regular client portfolio reviews and identify opportunities to deepen relationships and increase wallet share.

Maintain a high level of client satisfaction through proactive relationship management and consultative service.

Production Expectations

This role is expected to contribute to measurable growth across the private banking platform, including:

  • $7MM annual loan portfolio growth
  • $13MM annual deposit portfolio growth
  • $75K+ annual wealth-related fee income
    (wealth management, managed portfolios, planning and insurance solutions)

The Ideal Candidate Shall Possess:

7–10+ years of private banking, wealth management, or high-net-worth relationship management experience

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience

Required licensing:

  • Series 7
  • Series 63
  • Series 65
  • California Life Insurance License

Strong knowledge of:

  • Private banking credit products
  • Residential and securities-based lending
  • Investment and brokerage solutions
  • Trust and estate planning referrals
  • Insurance and financial planning strategies

Demonstrated ability to build and grow relationships with high-net-worth individuals, business owners and families

Excellent relationship management, communication and consultative sales skills
