The Anderson Search Group has been engaged by a highly respected regional financial institution seeking an experienced Director of Wealth Advisory to lead and grow its Wealth Advisory organization.
This executive leadership role is responsible for driving sales strategy, advisor development, market expansion, and revenue growth while leading a high-performing team of client-facing Wealth Advisors. The Director will define and execute the firm's Wealth Advisory growth strategy, helping scale a comprehensive wealth management platform while delivering an exceptional client experience.
This individual will serve as a senior leader within the Wealth Management division, partnering closely with executive leadership, Commercial Banking, Private Banking, Trust, Investment Management, Financial Planning, Portfolio Management, and Retail Banking to expand the organization's wealth business and deepen relationships with affluent and high-net-worth clients.
The ideal candidate is an accomplished wealth management executive with a proven history of building high-performing advisory teams, recruiting top talent, developing referral cultures, and driving profitable growth through an integrated wealth management model.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a team of Wealth Advisors to maximize productivity, engagement, client service, and business results.
- Develop and execute a scalable growth strategy to increase Wealth Management assets under management (AUM), advisory revenue, and overall profitability.
- Establish market growth strategies focused on acquiring new clients, expanding existing client relationships, and increasing wallet share.
- Recruit, develop, and retain top-performing Wealth Advisors while building a strong succession pipeline.
- Coach advisors on comprehensive financial planning, business development, held-away asset identification, and relationship expansion.
- Develop and execute sales strategies that promote consistent referral generation, COI development, and advisor productivity.

- Partner with Wealth leadership to continuously improve the client experience, business development processes, and advisor delivery model.
- Establish performance expectations beyond production, including internal referrals, external referrals, centers of influence (COI) development, client retention, and service excellence.
- Ensure pricing discipline, profitability, fiduciary excellence, and sound risk management across advisory relationships.
- Represent the Wealth Management division internally and externally by building strong relationships throughout the organization and within the community.
- Serve on Wealth Management leadership committees and contribute to strategic initiatives that support long-term organizational growth.

- Leading Wealth Advisors or Regional Wealth Management teams.
- Recruiting, mentoring, and developing top-performing advisors and future leaders.
- Driving advisor productivity, revenue growth, and assets under management.
- Developing comprehensive wealth planning strategies for affluent and high-net-worth clients.
- Building referral cultures across Commercial Banking, Private Banking, Retail Banking, Trust, and other business lines.
- Creating scalable sales processes and advisor development programs.
- Leading organizational growth initiatives while maintaining a client-first, fiduciary culture.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field required.
- 10–12+ years of progressive Wealth Management leadership experience.
- Proven track record leading client-facing Wealth Advisors or Wealth Management sales organizations.
- Demonstrated success recruiting, coaching, and developing Wealth Advisors.
- Strong understanding of:

- Tax-aware planning
- Business succession planning
- Experience partnering across Commercial Banking, Private Banking, Trust, and Retail Banking to deliver integrated client solutions.
- Exceptional executive presence, communication skills, and relationship-building ability.
- MBA, JD, or other advanced degree preferred.
- CFP®, CTFA, CPA, CWS, CFA, CPWA®, or similar professional designation strongly preferred.
